This process is for the skier looking to get precise setup numbers that will bring the absolute best out of their equipment given their unique personal stature and skiing technique.
The first time you order a full analysis, you’ll receive a questionnaire to identify your stature, skills, goals, and current setup metrics. You’ll also receive a link for uploading large HD video files, and a spreadsheet designed to track your setup changes.
Then for that session (and any subsequent consultations), I’ll make a detailed study of your video, and run your numbers through a ski behavioral model that helps me correlate what I’m seeing in the video with your current settings. I’ll then send you a written report detailing how to improve your ski’s setup, and if necessary, your technique. After you’ve had a chance to ride and video your new setup, you can then upload the new video along with any questions or comments you may have.
A single session is usually all that’s needed to nicely dial in your ski’s behavior or to get your tuning program solidly on track. If you are looking to maximize the level of refinement on a personalized setup, to explore different setup approaches, or to demo a couple of skis, consider a Stage III Analysis to get a discount on multiple sessions. These sessions can be done via email, one-on-one over the phone, or in any combination that best suits your preferences. It’s a great way to get a lot of questions answered while personalizing your ski’s behavior.
These consultations are a little different than most coached sets in that my focus is on getting your ski to work properly for you, rather than the other way around. I’m constantly amazed at how many skiers I see struggling to control poorly tuned skis. And it’s not just novice skiers either—I have a number of pro-tour champions among my repeat clients.
Do you already have the book? This is a great way to start using what you’ve learned in Fin Whispering. And since the process is interactive, you’ll be getting answers to any questions you may have while tuning your own ski. It’s all learning-by-doing with expert guidance.
